Society for the Promotion of Roman Studies

It was a privilege to head to London (albeit on an ominous dark and cloudy day) to be elected to the Council of the Society for the Promotion of Roman Studies, and to attend the associated Colloquium on Letters and Landscapes at the Senate House. I’m honoured to become part of the Council and to join the ranks of long list of talented scholars, researchers, and others who want to keep the study of the Roman world active and vibrant in the UK. The current list of Council Members can be found here.

Membership of the Society for the Promotion of Roman Studies is open to anyone with an interest in ancient Rome and her empire (including Roman Britain), and membership gets one access to a wide range of lectures and other events, access to the world-class Hellenic & Roman Library in the Senate House (and online), and a range of grants and other bursaries for study. For more details, and how to join, visit the Roman Society here.
