It is finally proofs day for our edited volume on the office of the Roman censorship, entitled The Roman Censorship: Perceptions and Realities. The volume is due to be published with De Gruyter on 29 Sep this year, all going well! To say that this is a long time coming is perhaps an understatement. Together with my co-editors, we hosted an international seminar series on the office of the Roman censorship with the Faculty of Classics at Oxford in 2020, during Covid, and we’ve worked hard in the six years subsequent to bring together world-leading scholars all asking diverse questions of this understudied and neglected magistracy. Looking forward to bringing this to the world later this year.
